A Ramadan Temptation: Indulge in an Avocado Smoothie
The bulk ferment is when the yeast fully developed through rest. The dough should nearly double in size and get bubbly. The warmer the environment, the faster the dough will ferment. If you leave the dough on the counter it will take about eight to 10 hours. For a more sour dough, leave it in the fridge for up to three days for a slower fermentation.

Lily Klau ’23

Lily Klau ’23, Creative Director

Creative Director Lily Klau ’23 loves Inklings because of the community it creates, but joined the paper for a reason you might not expect. 

“My brother did Inklings when he was in high school and he told me I had to do it,” Klau said. 

In addition to Inklings, Klau has been on the Staples volleyball team since her freshman year and is now on the varsity team. 

Despite several years of various classes, Klau found that Advanced Journalism is the class she loves the most.  

“I don’t have a favorite class besides [Advanced Journalism],” Klau said. “It could be a bad day and you always just look forward to Inklings.”
