Ari McCoy is a selfdescribed “funloving, interesting person who enjoys the simple
things.”
Although memorizing a playbook and blocking assignments and then executing them out
on the field is anything but simple, McCoy completes that task everyday.
McCoy, a right tackle on the football team, has been playing football for nine years.
He is looking forward to his role as a staff writer on Inklings this year after taking Intro to
Journalism last year. He’s especially looking forward to writing for the Sports section, and likes
journalism because he’s curious to know what’s going on in the community.
“I like journalism because I like to know what’s going on around me,” he said.
“Journalism is a great way of figuring out about the smaller stories that are going on that many
people don’t find out about.”
