Having a bad hair day? Wear a bucket. I mean the hat of course, not an actual bucket only the shape.  If you’re looking to express yourself a hat is the way to go.

Let me take you back a little first. In 1961, there was the pillbox worn very often by Jackie Kennedy. By 1963 your hair became the hat, hairdos that piled on top of women’s heads. Although for men they a decade, 1840s to be exact, where top hats were the big trend. When the 2000s came around they brought with them baseball caps and fitted caps.

2010 to 2014 brought back the exaggerated hats like women used to wear in the past when just on a different level, they’re now called fascinators.There are even more sun hats being worn as a fashion statement. They never go out of style,  just increase in successful appearance.

The most popular hats recently though have to be snapbacks, beaniesand bucket hats. Gosh darn golly! I love bucket hats with all my heart. If you’re trying to express yourself it’s the way to go.

The Boho chic girls love their beanies for comfort, simplicity and warmth. Skater boys usually hop from beanies and snapbacks but that usually depends on their haircut and fashion wear; skatewear like Tony Hawk or streetwear like Kanye West.

Bucket hats are just a trend anyone can get with. You can express yourself in anyway possible. There are solid colors, tropical, floral, cartoons and just about anything all the way to fried chicken designs. Personally out of my collection (yes, I have a collection and an unhealthy addiction to them, like shoes to a shopaholic.) I love my Finn and Jake “Adventure Time” bucket hat.

Hat trends have definitely come a long way from extremely classy to daily basis accessories. If you’re into baseball caps and fitted caps maybe it’s time to try something new. There are too many different types of hats out there for you to only wear one kind.
