#2: The “Avoid the answer with another question”
Interviewer: So, what do you like about the educational institutions and facilities at this school?
Interviewee: Well what do you like about the educational institutions and facilities at this school?
Interviewer: I don’t see how that’s relevant- I’m assuming you’re response means that you don’t know anything about the educational facilities here. Did you even read our pamphlet?
Interviewee: Well what really is relevant? What is the meaning of relevant?
Interviewer: Next person please!
Lesson: Asking questions in any sort of interview, college or not, can be a good thing. They can make you seem engaged and thoughtful.
But you should probably know what you’re talking about before you respond to one question with another. Doing so may help stop you from looking more stupid than inquisitive.
