Westport’s Chipotle restaurant closes its doors
Chipotle Mexican grill is preparing to close this week after about three years of service in Westport, according to a Chipotle employee.
Although there are other Mexican restaurants remaining in Westport, Staples student Simone Lantier ’20 is saddened by the news. “There’s no other good places like Chipotle left,” Lantier said. “It was my go to eating spot.”
Westport will no longer have a fast food Mexican Restaurant after this upcoming closing. An employee explained, “At the beginning of the year, we were told a couple of restaurants were closing and I believe this one was one of them.”

Although the closest Chipotle to many local residents is in Westport, there is also a Chipotle located in Fairfield 06824, 340 Grasmere Ave.
