As temperatures are on a steady sled down, spirit and holiday cheer are only rising. Holiday lights shine bright and Christmas trees are seen glittering through windows of homes around town. And the town of Westport is no exception, Wednesday night Dec. 4 the tree in front of town hall lit up and children and families all watched in anticipation of Christmas, only 20 days away.
However, the fun didn’t end there—the Downtown Merchants Association sponsored a holiday celebration following the Christmas tree lighting. Non-profit organizations from around town set up tables to raise awareness of their causes and raise money for those in need. And of course, Santa Claus sleigh’d in and was a hit for guests of all ages.
Happy Holidays from Inklings!
