The Connecticut Coalition for Achievement Now named Westport as the No. 1 school district across Connecticut at the high school and middle school levels, according to The Daily Westport.
The Coalition known as ConnCan is a nonprofit education advocacy group which gives annual report cards to public schools across the state based on student achievement on the Connecticut Mastery Test (CMT) and Connecticut Academic Performance Test (CAPT).
With the highest overall test scores in the state, Staples was ranked the No. 1 out of 190 high schools in Connecticut. This marks an improvement from last year when Staples was ranked as the No. 5 high school in Connecticut.
Coleytown and Bedford were leaders in the middle school grouping as well. Out of 298 middle schools in the state they were ranked as No. 1 and No. 2 respectively.
All of Westport’s elementary schools were in the top 100 out of 591 elementary schools in the state.
