2:15 p.m: bell rings. Junior parking list is up.
Frustrated shouts of “Are you serious?” and “This sucks!” tumble down the corridor.
“I know a lot of students who got their licenses in the past week, and the fact that they got parking over me when I got my license in June is quite upsetting,” Claudia Kann ’13 said.
Many students are upset with how the process was conducted, as many spots were granted to non-licensed drivers.
“I think there’s probably a better way for this than a random lottery, but the system worked for me so I can’t complain,” Ross Dener ’13 said.
The assistant principal’s office clarified that students must present license and registration documentation in order to secure their spot.
But for the 55 students who were randomly selected to get a spot in the junior parking lot, the list was not a cause for concern.
“This is the most lovely thing that could’ve happened in my life right now,” Francesco Martinovic ’13 said.
