The bell rings at 7:30 a.m.—and coffee is undoubtedly a staple within the Staples community. When something gets in the way of students’ caffeine consumption, there’s a problem.
For the past week, students have been complaining about the new lids in the cafeteria. With no lips and a thinner plastic, the lids have been the direct cause of numerous spills.
“They definitely look like they’re not as secure,” said Alex Bochetta, cafeteria staff member.
But fear no more: according to Bochetta, there was an error in Chartwells’ order to purchase coffee lids, and the thin lids were just a mistake. The beloved full-lipped lids will return to Staples next week, and all will return to normalcy. Crisis averted.
