On May 14, many staples students will be attending Castles in the Sand at Compo beach. If you have never been to this event it is a sight to be seen. Mounds upon mounds of sand will be brought to Compo beach so contestants can create their sand sculptures. Not only is it a friendly competition but it is also a great way to raise money for the organization Homes With Hope. This orgnization, founded in Weston, raises money for the homeless in our community.
“It’s so much fun and a great cause” Margot Bruce’11, a competitor, said. There is no doubt that this event is both fun and rewarding.
