When the plane took off from Scranton Airport in Steve Carell’s final episode on television show “The Office,” fans across the country were all guessing the same thing: What’s next?
Michael Scott, Carell’s eccentric character from NBC’s wildly successful comedy show, has officially resigned. With Carell gone, can the show survive? Will Ferrell recently came and went as Deangelo Vickers, a Midwestern, peculiar, compulsive eater and replacement for Carell who nearly paralyzes himself attempting to dunk a basketball on a ten-foot hoop, after a four-episode stint. So what’s next for Dwight, Jim, Pam, Ryan, Andy, and the rest of the gang?
So far, Dwight is acting manager until further notice. Andy is attempting to court Erin, while Darryl is taking night school lessons in Chinese. We’ll just have to wait for the rest of the season to play out to see what happens with these character developments and relationships.
Jim Carrey, Ray Romano, Will Arnett, James Spader and Ricky Gervais, among others, are all reportedly making cameo appearances in the final episode of the season.
Will any of them become the next boss? Will Bruce Almighty become the new regional manager of Dunder Mifflin – Scranton? Will the show get cancelled? There are a million possibilities. But we know that Carrey won’t be boss. He’s a mega-movie star, and his career isn’t dying to the point where he needs to rebound with this article. Ricky Gervais will not enter the cast and reprise his character from the original British version; his occasionally incomprehensible accent, dark comedic methods and overwhelming parallels with Carell’s character would make that situation ironic and unusual. And Ray Romano, a television show legend in his own right, is too mellow for a show that desperately needs a burst of light.
I personally recommend Will Arnett for the part. He is not booked on another show, has great comedic timing that fits in well with the show’s ensemble cast members’, and would be a great fit for the show.
But if garnering a famous actor is too difficult for the show, it’s very simple: make Creed boss.

I watched the Season Finale last night, and Will Arnett said he was going to be the new boss of Vance Refrigeration, so he’s out of the picture.
Creed is too old. Also out of the picture.
Dwight fired a gun in the office. Jo Bennett (Kathy Bates) won’t re-hire him because of it. (I want her as my grandma.)
There is no one left but Jim. Maybe he and his gorgeous wife Pam can co-manage the branch.

You say ”
Will Bruce Almighty become the new regional manager of Dunder Mifflin – Scranton?
and then you give the answer in the next sentence…….it sounds like a typo
