On Jan. 27, 2010, Apple Inc. revealed its newest creation, namely iPad, a 9.7-inch multitouch tablet. The tablet runs on software similar to that of the iPhone OS, and it contains everything from a web browser, Safari, to an e-reading app, iBooks. Although it has not yet been released to the public, it will start at $499 with 16 GB of space and Wi-Fi capabilities, which should be enough for the general user. However, it will also come in multiple capacities (up to 64 GB), and it also can come with 3G access. More information about iPad can be found at www.apple.com/ipad.
Appended: According to Apple Inc., the Wi-Fi models will be available in late March, and the 3G models will be available in April. Also, thanks to commenter “gaz,” references to “hard drive” have been removed in the article, as it uses flash memory.
