Staples wrecks Ridgefield in Boys’ Volleyball FCIAC Championship
Coming in as the 2-seed, the Staples Boys’ Volleyball team was looking to repeat as FCIAC champs over Ridgefield.
And they delivered.
After splitting the first two games, Staples fought for tough game three victory, barely winning 25-22.
Game four was close at the beginning, until Staples ran away for a 25-15 victory on a block by Captain Lucas Grevers ’14.
Ian Grimes ’14 was named the MVP of the game, with crucial blocks and kills.
Staples now heads into the State tournament as the 2-seed, hoping to repeat a State Championship.
