New to the girls’ ice hockey team this year, Jenn Hoets ’11 really made the most of her rookie season. She was fast on the puck, and as Head Coach David Rollison said “dumped it in when she was supposed to,” which was a huge asset to the team.
Her goal scoring skills were displayed over and over, as she had three hatrick games. She also led the team in goals scored and assists made. Not only did she have great offensive ability, but “she had helped out with basically everything; she did an outstanding job on both offense and defense,” Rollison said.
The girls’ ice hockey team had a successful season, exihibiting great improvement overall and really proving their prowess on the ice.

Finishing the season at 28–11, coming in second place at 2–1 during the FCIAC tournament, and placing 6th at the CIAC tournament at 3–3, Said Sarfaraz ’10 has earned notice for his stellar wrestling season.
Far more impressive than his winning percentage of approximately 72 percent, Sarfaraz competes in the heavyweight division—at the lowest weight class. According to Head Coach Kevin Lippert, the heavyweight division runs from 215 pounds to 285 pounds.
“I was very impressed with Said’s ability to compete at a high level in a very large division,” said Lippert, “but I think it’s necessary to acknowledge the team effort this season, Captains Julian Gendels ’11, Chris Giunta ’11, and Michael Giunta ’11 helped lead the team to a successful season.”
