We all know that with Easter comes candy.

The aisles of CVS and Walgreens are stocked up with pastel colored candies and bright yellow peeps. Easter eggs filled with coins and jelly beans are hid in the grass (or maybe the snow in this case) and little kids wait with excitement to see what goodies the Easter bunny put in their baskets. Here are a few recipes that take these easter candies to the next level– they are fun to create with friends and relatives and will make your Easter season even sweeter:

Peeps Birdhouses

Ingredients:

Peeps

Graham Crackers

Frosting/Icing

Newspaper or parchment paper

Easter decor: Easter grass, candy eggs, etc.

Directions:

Lay out the newspaper or parchment paper on your work surface. Break three graham crackers in half so that you have six pieces. Use the icing to “glue” 3 wall crackers to the floor cracker and set aside. Glue the two halves of the roof together and set aside. Once the roof and walls are dry enough that they will not fall apart, glue them together. Next, place the easter grass, candy eggs, and peep inside it’s birdhouse. Admire and enjoy your masterpiece!

Bunny Oreos

Ingredients:

Oreo cookies

White candy coating wafers

Regular size marshmallows

Pink sanding sugar sprinkles

Pink small jelly beans

Black/blue frosting

Directions:

Melt your candy coating in a microwave according to package instructions. Pour the coating in a bowl and dip each cookie in the melted coating until completely submerged. Remove each cookie and lay them out to dry. Create two eyes on the cookie using frosting, and attach the jelly bean nose with the extra melted candy coating. Cut each marshmallow in half diagonally (the long way). Dip the sticky side of the marshmallows into the sprinkles and attach to the cookies using the candy coating!

Easter Bunny Reece’s Egg Cars

Ingredients:

Reece’s Peanut Butter Eggs

M&M’s

Mini M&M’s

Chocolate Frosting

Annie’s Bunny Graham Crackers

Directions:

First, cut out a small opening from the top of the Reece’s egg using a knife (just big enough so that one of the bunnies can fit into it). Attach the regular sized M&M’s on the sides for wheels using the chocolate frosting. Then attach the mini M&M’s to create a steering wheel and headlights at the front. Press the bunny graham crackers into the drivers seat (the little opening you made) and enjoy!
