I am a huge fan of the Marvel Comics superhero movies. I fell in love with Toby Maguire as Spider-Man, and when the remake was made, I was skeptical but quickly became hooked. As soon as I saw the trailer for the second “The Amazing Spider-Man,” I knew I had to see it, and this movie sure didn’t disappoint.
Peter Parker/Spider-Man, played by Andrew Garfield, fights against the Green Goblin, played by Dane DeHaan, and Electro, played by Jamie Foxx in this intense action flick that is sure to leave you on the edge of your seat.
Gwen Stacey, played by Garfield’s witty real-life girlfriend Emma Stone, helps out her boyfriend Spider-Man. Stone and Garfield are a dynamic duo on-screen in “The Amazing Spider-Man 2.” They both have beautiful chemistry together, and their acting was spot on; I could feel their emotion.
I knew what was going to be the ending to this movie after I researched the biography of Gwen Stacey (I had no idea who she was prior to the first “The Amazing Spider-Man” movie). The ending was tastefully done, and is definitely a tear jerker.
In addition, the special effects of “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” are incredible. The colors are vivid, and some of the scenes are slowed down so you can get a feel for what Spider-Man is seeing and why he is able to have such good reflexes.
Overall, “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” is definitely worth seeing. I give this movie a 9/10.
