New teacher mask policy prompts mixed reactions from student body

Masks have been the “norm” for the past year and a half, and people often forget what life was like without these protective barriers.

Starting on Oct. 20, Staples teachers were no longer required to wear masks if they are standing at the front of the classroom and socially distanced from students. Some students found this to be a welcome chance, while others feel it may be premature considering that COVID-19 is still a threat.
