Sticker covered computer cases: it’s an adhesive trend
Band logos, locations, TV shows and art. Where is one place a person can have all these things at one time? It’s their computer case.
In Staples, a popular craze has been putting stickers on computer cases.
Typically, kids only put a case on their computer to protect it from being damaged, but now the cases are being are used as an accessory.
The stickers can range from a TV show character, to a band’s logo, to pictures of art. People overlap and apply these stickers on their computers to create a one of a kind display.
Like all fads, everyone has a different take on whether they want to be a part of the crowd, or stay away from the craze.
Marnie Adelkopf ’17 is not a fan of this trend. “I don’t put stickers on my computer because personally I like the shiny and clean new look and I don’t like when they make the surface sticky and start peeling off,” Adelkopf said.
“I thought it looked cool and adds personalization to a sea of Macs. It can look really cool like a collage and it also sets you apart from others,” Claire Meehan ’17, who has covered her computer in stickers with animals, Mickey Mouse and cute little sayings like “Forever Young” said.
“I think it’s become a big trend because it looks cool and the more people that see it want to do it,” Claire Tiefentaler ’17 said.
