Halloween is just around the corner and many people need some last minute costumes for the big night. Here are some of the most popular costumes that will be seen this year in Westport.
With the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens in December 2015, the Jedi costume is on the rise. Students can dress up as an original jedi, or can channel their inner Kylo Ren from the new film. An important accessory of this costume is the lightsaber, which can be bought in red, blue, or green for close to $10 on various websites and Halloween stores everywhere. The Force is not included.
The “Creepy Horse Mask” trend has sparked in recent years, and it makes a return to Staples this year for halloween. The masks come in variations of animals, such as pigeons and unicorns. The costume comes with only the head itself, but can be used as part of a larger costume. They can be purchased for around $20 at various stores online, and are also available at Spooky Town in Westport.
Sometimes Halloween comes sooner than expected! A quick costume fix could be a hunter. With multiple stores like Bass Pro Shop around Westport that sell camouflage outfits it is an easy costume that will get people’s attention. The camouflage jacket and hat can be found at the Spooky Town pop-up shop in Westport. A pair of Timberland boots would be a perfect pairing with this type of costume.
The Pokemon Go craze hit Westport hard. With many Staples students involved in the game this past summer a Pikachu costume would be perfect. This onesie can be found on amazon ranging from prices of $13 to $37. Since it is a unisex costume it is an amazing costume to wear with friends or family. All trainers should go out and get their Pikachu onesies to wear next week.
