Señor Salsa challenges for best Mexican in town
As I walked into Señor Salsa, a cozy restaurant situated near the Norwalk-Westport border on Post Road, I immediately felt the authentic Mexican culture. With classic Tex-Mex music, the aroma of freshly cooked tortillas and the sight of windows with engraved cacti, I felt like I was south of the border.
With little to no lines and great service (I went on a Tuesday night), I ordered their El Champion, a fully loaded burrito that will make your mouth water. With charbroiled chicken, rice, black beans, cheese, guacamole, lettuce, sour cream and two salsas plus a side of chips, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed by the Champion.
Once you get your made to order food, check out the salsa bar. From mango salsa to your conventional guacamole, all of your sauce needs will be complete.
While Señor Salsa does not get all of the acclaim that Chipotle and Qdoba get, it is viable option that should be able to compete for other Staples’ students Mexican cuisine needs.
Because of its larger portions and flat prices, its authentic Mexican environment and tasty food, students will get a bargain for their buck whilst enjoying a fun atmosphere and great food.
