“Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2” should really be called “Cloudy with a Chance of Five Stars.” This movie has all the ingredients, laughs, action, and adventure, that make a recipe for a great movie.
The movie was funny, and I mean funny. The whole idea was hilarious. After the main character, Flint Lockwood’s machine is destroyed in the first movie, it falls into some sort of pond that turns it back on. This time, however, the food being produced is alive! With giant hamburgers trying to eat people and a taco monster wreaking havoc on the whole island, the movie was constantly entertaining.
Even at the four o’clock matinee, the movie theater was packed. People were scrambling to find seats in the huge theater to watch the hilarious and creative animated film. With ideas like, “Hippotatomus” and “Flamangos” this movie kept the whole audience laughing. I don’t think the family behind me stopped laughing the entire time.
Overall, this movie provided a good experience for all ages. The parents loved the good message that all creatures should be treated with care. Even the teenagers will get big laughs out of the creativity and many puns throughout the movie. And, of course, the younger kids will enjoy seeing their favorite foods come to life.
