Inspired from the Dinsey movie Up, Minahil Salam ’16, creativly painted a scene from the movie. Minahil is in Janet Gartska’s watercolor class.
The art department has 2 two-week-long exhibits for the Art Show each year: One in the winter that features the fall semester courses and coincides with the annual Candlelight concert, and another in May that features the spring semester courses and coincides with the annual Art Awards event and other year-end festivities. Pieces of art are chosen to be displayed from all the different art classes that Staples has to offer. Students and staff contently are stopping by in between classes to enjoy the talent that so many Staples students have.
